saturday morning:

no one is awake, i can be so productive.

objective 1: write down my dream from last night that will become a children's book.

objective 2: buy Andrew Belle's new record "The Ladder" which is fantastic and you can buy it too for $5.99 - worth every penny (and many more!).

yep wonderful.

if you're in town tonight, or are able to in the next two months, Andrew Woolbright is having an opening at LeQuire Gallery here in Nashville (eep!) 7-9. It is always so inspiring to see friends from school work and grow and show their art - so proud.
read this snippet from ReadyMade : now watch this video they posted

it's called Let's Colour Project, and the artists are from france!

so much love,

skeletons & bones & things

whaaa bam! a new project has begun. i have well over 100 "antique" photos lying around that i've been collecting (damn you thank you ebay). it became quite unhealthy the amount of time i spent perusing the internet... and accidently buying things (... yes. accidently. bidding on items is a whole new world to me).

i once saw a snippet of an artist's work who, jokingly (i believe), drew a cartoon skeleton over an old black & white photo of a woman. so i decided that i'd give it a try & take it a step further. how interesting would it be to look at an entire wall of fairly anatomically correct skeletons & organs as well as monsters drawn over antique photos? i still have some experimenting to do, but here's what i've got so far:
(initial testing of the ink...)

le cœur de france

for the past year almost every inclination of my heart has been towards France.... in some way shape or form (and sometimes almost untraceable).

literally.
everything french.

so i am currently welcoming all french music into my life.  please, please, please enlighten me more more more.

thank you [to a dear friend] for showing me this gem of music
Cœur De Pirate
[and let's be honest, how cute is she?! just listen to the music]

with love, respect, and the pursuit of all things wonderful [and FULL of love],
